Small Estate

A Small Estate Administration occurs when the

decedent's estate less liens and encumbrances

does not exceed twenty-five thousand dollars, and

the decedent owned no share in real property. 

 

• This cannot take place until thirty (30) days after death.

• The death certificate and a copy of the funeral bill must be furnished to the Court.

Filing Fees for Small Estates are based o the Value of the Assets:

Less than or equal to $100.00  is $17.50

$101.00-$4,999.99 is $30.00

$5,000.00 - $19,9999.99 is $50.00

$20,000.00-$25,000.00 is $72.50
